Despite rumours that the new Civic Type-R would never set foot on these shores, Honda Australia has finally won a 10-year fight to import the hottest hatch in its global line-up. It has battled international - and internal - red tape, as well as a topsy-turvy currency exchange rate and strong demand in Britain, for almost a decade. Now Honda Oz has finally won the battle, announcing that the Civic Type-R will be in Australian showrooms before the middle of the year.
