I'm not surprised and I don't know why anybody else is, either. Max would never have called the vote if he didn't absolutely know he would win it, especially after organising for more than a month to pull it off. The colossal embarassment prompted manufacturers, teams and F1 stalwarts to call for Mosley's dismissal. Such is (was) Mosley's power that many remained non-committal. An FIA hearing, on June 3, was to determine if Mosley would stay on top, so to speak.
