Tyretest - development of a non-destructive inspection equipment to improve the assessment of tyre casing integrity

The Tyretest project will develop a tyre casing inspection machine to complement the manual inspection of used casings in order to reduce operating costs, consistently deliver product quality and safety, as well as promote the recycling of tyres. The use of pulse-echo ultrasound will present a real innovation and it will allow non-destructive inspection of the tyres in a test time of 2,5 minutes.
