Rapid Screening of Pharmaceutical Substances for the Total Content of F-, Cl-, Br-, and S-Containing Organic Compounds

A fast direct method for determination of the total content of F-, C1-, Br-, and S-containing organic compounds in pharmaceutical substances is developed. The method is based on direct oxidative high-temperature conversion and analysis of the whole absorbate volume by ion chromatography. Detection limits are 2 x 10~(-6)—4 x 10~(-6)% depending on the element at a sample mass of 1 mg.
