摘要

The immune status of 37 cats (29 with clinical signs of gingivitis/stomatitis and 8 clinically healthy ones) was investigated (Germany). The results of the immunophenotyping were correlated with clinical symptoms and status of FIV infection. An increasing severity of disease was followed by a significant deterioration of the CD4+/CD8+-ratio and a increased absolute number of cytotoxic lymphocytes (CD8+). FIV-positive cats showed, in contrast to FIV-negative ones, a significant decrease in the absolute number of T-helper cells, an increased absolute number of cytotoxic lymphocytes and an inversion of the CD4+/CD8+T-cell ratio.
