Upgrade, modernization and relocation of a stainless steel annealing and pickling line

At ThyssenKrupp Stainless Europe, a combined annealing and pickling line was transferred from Turin to the Terni Works in northern Italy. The project was conceived and implemented with the objectives to modernize and prepare the plant for future improvements, minimize the civil works, modify the line configuration but avoid major changes to the operator interface and standard operating practices. The newly supplied machines and equipment and the revamping activities provided a variety of improvements.
