As part of an extensive modernization process, ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel in Bochum, Germany, has introduced a new software system for electrical steel finishing lines. The new software programme was developed by Celano, who also handled the highly complex process of porting the new system. Based on the celCAP architecture, the new software has been running smoothly for one year now, and there have been tangible improvements in maintenance, error analysis and flexibility when compared to the previous system.
