The vibration behaviour of aerial parts of a fully leafed Norway maple (Acer platanoides) treeas well as near-surface airflow properties around the tree are monitored since July 2009. After ashort description of the experimental set-up, preliminary results from branch displacementmeasurements are presented. The first analyses of wind-tree interaction revealed that the swaypattern of aerial parts of the sample tree is very complex and anisotropic.
