摘要

A new technique for measuring resistivity of hollow conducting cylinders with a four-probe array is investigated. A factor F is derived to obtain the resistivity by using the solutions of Poisson's equation which is solved under several kinds of boundary conditions. The measurements of the resistivity are performed for hollow graphite cylinders as a function of their size and the probe position. It is demonstrated that the factor F corrects data accurately and leads to reasonable resistivity. The factor F can be used to nondestructively obtain the wall thickness of metal cylinders.
