2005 FEF Conference Delivers Metalcasting Opportunities to Students Across the Country

More than 330 people (including 101 student delegates) turned out for the 2005 Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) College Industry Conference to focus on future opportunities in the metalcasting industry. Held Nov. 10-12 at the Drake Hotel, Chicago, the conference brought together top industry executives, FEF board members, FEF Key Professors, university officials and student delegates representing 25 FEF-accredited schools and two FEF-affiliated schools. The event featured a keynote address by Paul Mikkola, Metal Casting Technology Inc., during the general session. Also during the session, attendees observed a panel presentation consisting of three past FEF students: Dan Kintner, Honda of America, Rodney Burkhardt, Metal Technologies Inc., and Sandy Loftus Calabrese, General Motors Corp.
