Advocacy Group: Consumer Product Safety Commission Chairwoman Should Resign

A group that calls itself Campaign for America's Future (CAP) on Nov. 27 sent a letter to the head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) calling for her resignation in connection with the flood of leaded toys from China. The letter, which is one facet of a CAF program to oust CPSC Chairwoman Nancy Nord, contends that Nord actively opposes efforts to strengthen the CPSC and says that her "failures" are "the result of your conservative ideology of government which values enabling corporations to act unfettered in the pursuit of profit over protecting the health and safety of consumers."
