MILWAUKEE - A Wisconsin federal judge on June 12 remanded to state court a lead poisoning lawsuit against the former makers of lead paint, finding that the defendants did not demonstrate that the amount in controversy met the federal requirement (Ernest Gibson v. American Cyanamid, et al., No. 07-C-358, E.D. Wis.; 2007 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 42663). Ernest Gibson, by his guardian ad litem Susan Gram-ling, sued American Cyanamid Co., Armstrong Containers, ConAgra Foods Inc., E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co., Millennium Holdings Inc., NL Industries Inc., Atlantic Richfield Co., The Sherwin Williams Co. and Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
