Lia Bankruptcy Judge Sets Status Conference; Related Cases Set for October Trials

NEWARK, N.J. - The federal judge presiding over the Lead Industries Association Inc.'s (LIA) bankruptcy proceedings has set a status conference for Sept. 12 to address LIA's financial condition (In Re: Lead Industries Association Inc., No. 02-33514, D. N.J. Bkcy.; See June 2006, Page 18). Bankruptcy Judge Novalyn Winfield of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey said the status conference is to consider LIA's present financial condition and its business plan, as well as whether a date should be set for filing a plan of reorganization and disclosure statement.
