President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has sent a bill to the Argentine Congress which would cut tax rates for biodiesel used on the domestic market. Under the bill, due to be officially proposed by the Lower House, there will be a 19 percentage point reduction for biodiesel used in transport, bringing the fuel tax back to the level in November 2011. In addition, biodiesel used in power generation will see full reduction of a total of 41 percentage points, local sources told F.O. Licht.
