STRONG EXPORTS TO THE US PUSH BIODIESEL OUTPUT TO FIVE-MONTH HIGH

FAME production in May 2015 reached 142,544 tonnes, industry data show, a five-month high, boosted by improved exports prospects to the US market and speculation over a decline in export taxes. The May total compares with 127,960 tonnes in the preceding month and 229,302 one year earlier. In May, there were restarts at the facilities operated by Vicentin and Molinos. The Renova plant raised its output, while production at Terminal 6 reached a five-month high. However, the Louis Dreyfus facility did not produce in May.
