315 MLN LITRES BIODIESEL SOLD IN AUCTION

A total of 315 mln litres of biodiesel was sold in an auction held by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) on February 27, 2009. The average price of BRL2.15 ($1=BRL2.41) per litres was seen significantly below the reference price of BRL2.36. The biodiesel was for Apr/Jun 2009 consumption. Petrobras and its subsidiary Refinaria Alberto Pasqualini were the purchasers.
