575 MLN LITRES OF BIODIESEL SOLD AT AUCTION

A total of 575 mln litres was sold at the 16th biodiesel auction conducted by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) on November 17, 2009. Around 460 mln litres were purchased in the first lot reserved for producers taking part in the federal government's small-family farmers program (Biocombustivel Social) at an average discount of 0.92% over the reference price of BRL2.35 ($1=BRL1.734) per litre. In the second lot, about 115 mln litres were sold at a discount of 1.31%.
