Genesis research of Carboniferous dolomitic rocks from Kolguev island, Barents sea

摘要

For regional paieogeographic reconstruction it is necessary to restore rock environment conditions. It has not only scientific, but also practical meaning. Our research is connected with the study of dolomitic rocks from Carboniferous strata uncovered by deep well Bugrinskaia-1 on Kolguev Island, Barents Sea. It is extremely seldom to meet primary dolomite in ancient rocks. It was necessary to establish the genesis of these dolomitic rocks. It was suggested that this dolomite has primary genesis, and during Carboniferous stage there was environment with evaporite sedimentation in considered area. Rocks have been described in details and investigated under microscope and also microprobe methods.
