2017: Plenty of Reasons for a Great Future in Natural Gas

As we head into 2017, the North American natural gas industry is, in a word, fascinating, exciting, tumultuous, and changing every day. I know that is not "a word." But the industry is complicated enough that it deserves several. The fundamentals are simple—supply and demand. During 2016, low levels of drilling for both gas and oil finally caused supply to plateau and drop a little (see Exhibit 1).
