Global coffee prices continued to rise in the first week of August before giving up ground towards the middle of the month. The ICO composite indicator price fell by 1.98 cents to 118.66 cents/lb between August 3 and August 14. Colombian Mild Arabicasand Robustas experienced the sharpest decreases with the former variety falling by 4.67 cents to 187.21 cents/lb, and the latter by 5.48 cents to 71.33 cents/lb. Other Mild Arabicas gained 1.14 cents to 152.53 cents/lb, and Brazilian Naturals were 1.19cents dearer at 119.29 cents/lb.
