Greencastle cement expands, uses new production process

Commissioning and start-up began in June 2000 at Lone Star Industries expanded Greencastle IN, cement plant. The expansion will nearly double the facility's production capacity from 680 kt/a to 1.17 Mt/a (750.000 to 1.3 million stpy). The Greencastle plant also will introduce a new cementmaking process to the United States.
