Kinross Gold opens mine in Russia: Underground gold mine is fourth in the country for Kinross

KINROSS GOLD Corp. announced that commercial production has begun at its Dvoinoye Mine, a high-grade, low-cost underground gold mine located in Russia's Chukotka region. Kinross chief executive officer Paul Rollinson, as well as senior Russian officials, including Chukotka Gov. Roman Kopin, inaugurated Dvoinoye in a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 10.
