In Europe, the industry and consumers alike are keeping a close watch on how Chinese brands Geely and Great Wall are measuring up; If British car enthusiasts know only one thing about Chinese models, it will be the infamous Landwind crash test from 2005. The SUV was supposedly going on sale in Europe and put to the wall by German motoring organisation ADAC. Still viewable online, the result was catastrophic - one dead dummy and the equivalent of zero stars - so plans were shelved. Five years later a Landwind MPV was tested by Euro NCAP and still only got two stars.
