We've all seen the films that offer up their predictions as to the future shape and form of transport: Minority Report, The Fifth Element andiron, to name three of many. And indeed, with developments in 'connected' technology, what was once confined to the realms of science fiction is, and will continue to be, very much a reality. What 15 far more uncertain though is the chosen source of power for these vehicles. Will petrol and diesel continue to hold sway for the next few years? Will hybrid become the technology of choice? Is the future electric? Or indeed will hydrogen fuel cell technology, like The Once and Future King, render all competitors to the crown redundant?
