The IMI's Professional Register will be available for public viewing from April. Aiming to reach 200,000 consumers by 2016, the Professional Register is an opportunity you should not ignore if you wish to keep your business competitive. As part of the launch, an Employer Recognition Scheme will also be available to businesses, developed as an independent mark of quality and professionalism in the automotive industry. As a MM reader, it is likely that you will have already been placed on the Register, as all current eligible IMI members, as well as ATA and AMA accredited individuals, will have been transferred to the new website by the launch date. Customers and consumers will be able to search for registered professionals by name or employer via www. imiregister.org.uk. This will provide reassurance that their automotive requirements can be met by suitably skilled individuals, as they will be able to view credentials such as membership grade and accreditation route.
