A DIVERSIFIED AUSTRALIAN exploration house has indicated it should be processing tungsten from an historic tailings dam by the end of this year. Sydney-based Icon Resources Ltd has said it would have "everything in place and ready to go" before the close of 2009 in relation to its wholly-owned Mt Carbine project in north Queensland. The junior is looking to re-develop the mine - which was once Australia's largest tungsten producer (43%) until its closure during the mid 1980s - in a three stage strategy, the first of which will involve the treatment of the tailings.
