"Nothing but nickel" is now the main tenet under which Allegiance Mining NL is operating, according to chief executive officer Ian Levy, who is bullish about the possibility of large scale mining at the Avebury mine. The project is located 10 kilometres west of Zeehan on the west coast of Tasmania. Infill drilling of the 2003 inferred resource boundary was recently completed over a strike length of 650m that is close to the existing production decline and subject to a feasibility study. Nickel mineralisation is known to continue along strike both to the west and east of the feasibility study area for a distance now exceeding 1,250 metres.
