China factor still a key

Diversified mining house Consolidated Minerals Ltd has continued its stellar run well into 2005. During the past six months the company has managed to lack a number of significant corporate goals as it continues along what is becoming a rather rapid growth path. Earlier this year the mining house completed a 6.5 million dollars expansion of its Woodie Woodie manganese operation in Western Australia's Pilbara, established its first manganese supply contracts to India and Bahrain, entered Standard and Poor's ASX 200 index and reported a 41 million dollars profit for the first half of 2004/05 -- something that has translated into a six cent interim dividend for its shareholders. Furthermore, the company completed its acquisition of WA-based Reliance Mining Ltd, giving it access to cash-generating nickel assets in the Kambalda region.
