VITAL METALS LTD is moving closer to developing its Watershed tungsten project in north Queensland into a potential 100 million dollars per annum earner for the group. Production is scheduled to start at the end of next year. The Perth-based company is targeting an output of of 4,000 tonnes of tungsten concentrate a year and an ore processing rate of 2.5 million tonnes per annum at Watershed, and is intending to wind up a feasibility study by June. Preliminary development discussions also continue, with several parties from the UK and Australia expressing an interest in the project. "I was in the UK (recently) and certainly there are plenty of players interested," Vital's managing director Andy Haslam told Gold & Minerals Gazette.
