Change of government causes delay

WHILE THAILAND GOLD miner Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd is still waiting for final government approval to develop its Chatree North leases, the company is on track to produce around 80 000 ounces in 2007/08 from its flagship Chatree operation. The production outlook for Kingsgate is very much linked to gaining access to its Chatree North leases, and with a new government elected in December, the Sydney-based company is confident a decision will be coming soon. Both the new Thai government and the minister for industry, whose final signature is required, have publicly stated their commitment to renewed growth and foreign investment.
