According to company chief executive John Langford, Mundo's target is to achieve a 150,000 ounce per annum profile from its properties in Brazil and Peru in the near term, with the broader goal of eventually increasing this to 250,000 ozpa. It is also looking to achieve first output from its Torrecillas project in Peru, where it is planning to move from trial to full blown mining by late 2011. Annual production targets at full capacity have been increased from 40,000-100,000 oz. In Brazil, Mundo has set itself a goal of 50,000 ozpa for its Jaqueira play (subject to a current drilling program) and will systematically assess the Tocantins joint venture.
