Enterprise Products confirmed Aug. 18 that two of its Midwest NGL pipelines have been closed due to severe flooding and erosion along the Missouri River. Enterprise's West Red pipeline was damaged due to severe flooding where it crosses the Missouri at Decatur, Neb., just upstream from the Whiting, Iowa terminal. In addition, the integrity of Enterprise's West Blue pipeline was compromised due to erosion in the flood plain on the east side of the river. At press time, the partnership had not predicted when it could commence repairs since flooding must recede before work can begin.
