Inergy's U.S. Salt storage facility near Watkins Glen, N.Y is still in the approval stage. Inergy notes that the site's potential development could be up to 2.1 MMbbl of LPG storage capacity. "That's the gorilla in the room and a game changer," said David Gable of Hocon Gas. "That will change the dynamics of supply for the Northeast should that ever be approved because we won't be as dependent on Mont Belvieu supply. So much of the propane being produced in the United States right now is being exported, which is why we're having a problem getting our inventory numbers up."
