Shearline acquires Hybrid Laser Tech

Shearline Precision Engineering has announced the acquisition of Hybrid Laser Tech (HLT), a precision laser cutting company located in Cambridge. HLT, established in 1988, is noted for its ability to laser cut complex designs on a wide range of materials. Using Coherent Everlase CO_2 laser systems, the company provides precision cutting and scribing of ceramic substrates and precision cutting of thin metals, wood, paper, plastics, acrylics, PCB and PZT. Originally set up to provide a laser cutting service to the hybrid micro-electronics industry, the company has successfully expanded to service major clients in the aerospace, education, medical and telecommunications industries.
