Greenfield metallurgical works successfully commissioned at Tata Steel Kalinganagar

In the first phase of Tata Steel's ambitious investment programme at the Kalinganagar location in the district of Odisha in India, the converter shop, secondary metallurgy facilities and a continuous slab caster were put successfully into operation in March 2016. The integrated iron and steel plant of Tata Steel is designed for an annual production of more than six million tons of steel slabs.
