Replacement Ht Zone Rejuvenates Existing Heat-Treatment Plant

Thermal Processing Group Ltd (TPG), one of the leading vacuum brazing and heat-treatment specialists in the UK, has recently commissioned a hot zone refit to its Abar 60 x 60 vertical bottom-loading vacuum furnace operated at TPG Skelmersdale in Lancashire. The replacement hot zone was designed and manufactured by Cambridge Vacuum Engineering Ltd at Waterbeach, Cambridge and installed within a weekend by CVE engineers. Significant operational and efficiency gains have been achieved, CVE claims, and these have been enhanced through maintenance of the uniform temperature distribution at exceptional tolerance levels seen at installation over 12 months ago. TPG engineers are said to be most pleased with the efficiencies gained through faster cycle times, uniform heating, significantly improved gas distribution and lower power consumption, all contributing to a quantum improvement in quality of product and customer service, it is claimed.
