摘要

The study considers sinterhardening process applied to a medium hardenability alloy: Distaloy AE with the following composition: Ni = 4,38 percent; Cu = 2,08 percent; Mo = 1,50 percent; Fe bal. In the industrial practice, sometimes, 200-250 HV hardness values can be considered full enough for several specific applications. It was demonstrated that the 200-250 HV values can be obtained by application of the sinterhardening process to medium-low hardenability alloys. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the influence of some parameters of production (e.g. density and thickness of the components). The examined material consisted of parallelepipeds with base 65 X 65 mm~2 and increasing thickness (2,5 - 6,3 -4,0 - 10-16-25-40-63 mm).
