Marex Spectron posts record profit after cutting costs; LME market share grows

Marex Spectron, the largest liquidity provider on the London MetalExchange, has posted a record operating profit of $23 million for 2015following a cost-cutting drive, the London-based brokerage said onWednesday May 25.The company has cut costs by a net $32 million since 2013 byoverhauling underperforming divisions, desks and offices andexiting from certain unprofitable businesses, $29 million of whichwas realised in 2015, Marex added.
