Acerinox second quarter profit hits record of ?170m

Acerinox achieved a record ?169.7m net profit in the second quarter, 211 percent higher than the ?54.5m during the same period last year and 57 percent ahead of the previous high in first quarter 1995.The results improved sharply due to rising prices and increased sales of value-added products as new plant came on stream, the company said in a statement.
