The King was mad. He stood in the main chamber of the glorious cathedral that was completely empty. He was so mad, the knights who guarded him were afraid to enter and, as a consequence, hung around the exterior doors hoping they wouldn't be called in. Slide Rule, the King's No. 1 architect, ran past the guards and into the room. The knights knew him and let him through, thankful there was someone for their King to talk to. "Your majesty, I'm sorry I'm late," Slide panted. "You don't look sorry," answered the King. "You look late." Uh oh, thought Slide. "Your majesty, it couldn't be helped. I found out last night that I had to go to a construction site."
