Cliffs Natural Resources has reached an agreement, in principle, tosettle class-action lawsuits related to its Bloom Lake iron ore projectin Quebec, with $84 million to be paid out via third-party insurancecarriers as a result.“The settlement agreements contain no admission of liability orwrongdoing and include a full release of all defendants inconnection with the allegations made in the law suit,” Cliffs said,adding that the settlement would have “no impact on thecompany’s financial position or operations”.
