摘要

The ease with which a briquetting technology that employs water glass can be adapted to industrial use is determined mainly by the conditions under which moisture is removed when the briquetting mixture is being prepared for extrusion. It is preferable that the finely divided raw materials which are to be mixed with the water glass have a moisture content within the range 2.0-2.5 percent. Satisfying this condition would be quite feasible at many mining-concentration combines, which already perform an operation that involves drying finely dispersed materials (concentrates).
