Audit or research: the ethics of publication

This journal conforms to contemporary standards on ethical publication. It requires evidence of approval by an appropriate human research ethics committee for all papers which report researchinvolving human subjects. The research must comply with recognised standards, such as those described in the Declaration of Helsinki (1964), and informed consent must be obtained fromparticipants. The editorial team seeks evidence that papers meet this requirement before they are sent for review. This ensures that the journal has the ethical good house-keeping seal of approval.
