Indian mills raised their domestic coil prices by between 2,000-2,500 rupees/tonne (50-64 dollars/ tonne) at the start of February. HR coil prices are now around 760-780 dollars/tonne ex-works, while export offers are in some cases even higher. MBR understands that SAIL is selling HR plates for 600 euros/tonne fob (873 dollars/tonne); offers to export pre-painted galvanised coil to Italy and Spain have reached 875 euros/tonne (1,273 dollars/tonne).
