Domestic prices have remained relatively flat over the last few weeks. Standard rebar prices are around 600 dollars/tonne on the Shanghai market, similar to levels a month ago. The average price of billet is about 580 dollars/tonne. Export prices for rebar are prevailing at around 730-740 US dollars/ tonne fob- up 10 dollars/tonne on last month. There is very little billet being offered for export; MBR understands offers are being made ataround 740-750 dollars/tonne fob, however.
