An A-level Student's Perspective on the 14th IMA Early Career Mathematicians Conference

As an A-level student, I have just completed my UCAS appli-cation which, to some extent, the next three years of my life will depend on. So, until now, I have sought as much advice on this process as possible, including through attending the 14th Early Career Mathematicians Conference on 16 July 2011 at the University of Leicester. I did not know what to expect at this conference which was the first event of this type that I attended. Well, among many other things it opened my eyes to what would happen once I leave university, for example how to look and apply for a job in a mathematics-related area.
