Could SAGE smash the record for the deepest offshore pipeline worldwide?

MBR understands from sources in the Middle EastthatSouth Asia Gas Enterprise (SAGE) ambitious Oman to India pipeline (MEIDP pipeline) could now commence construction work as early as 2015. Much of the technical, economic and financial preparations have now been completed forthe $5bn project. SAGE is now discussing a gas purchasing agreement with the sellers and hopes to begin commencingthe project nextyear. SAGE envisages thatthe pipeline construction would take two years.
