Strong US, Indian markets support Holcim in 2014

GLOBAL CEMENT-PRODUCER HOLCIM increased its sales volumes year-on-year in 2014, with a strong fourth quarter in its key markets, the company has said. Cement sales rose 1% on the year to 140mt, as growth in India, Indonesia and North America countered weaker markets in Europe and Latin America. Holcim's net income grew by 1.5% to CHF1.61bn (Sl.70bn), while its net sales fell 3.1% to CHF19.11bn.
