Venezuela exported 0.12MT of coal in October, a drop of 51% from September's level of 0.25mt and 42% lower than August's exports of 0.21mt. In October 2012, Venezuela exported 0.32mt, 62.4% higher than this October's total. October's shipments were the second lowest of the year. Only February had lower exports (35,040t), primarily due to a truckers' strike that affected coal shipments en route to Maracaibo Lake.
