Variants of the active zone (AZ) of a low-power fast reactor with a U-Pu fuel and sodium heat carrier are proposed. A numerical study was carried out on the minimal power tolerable for the. establishment of a self-adjustable neutron-nuclear regime of the second type (SANNR-2) in the proposed AZ by use of two ways to regulate the reactor power in SANNR-2: by UN input in the subzones located outside of and near the AZ geometrical axis. The AZ parameters have been optimized with respect to the duration of the reactor campaign. The advantages of the reactor's power regulation.in the SANNR-2 from the subzone located in the vicinity of the AZ axis are shown.
